Brothers In Blog

It was April 2007 when Brothers in Blog made its debut. Just 2 brothers taking their daily IM chats to this public forum for others to read and comment on. It’s been a great learning experience for both of us, but as our personal and business schedules demanded more of our time something had to give. Regretfully, this project didn’t make the cut and it’s time to lower the curtain on our site.

Thanks to all who took the time to read our posts and especially those who left comments. As much as we enjoyed ranting, raving and reviewing we enjoyed even more reading what you had to say.

It’s been a great ride, but all good things must come to an end. I’m saying good-bye to Brothers-in-Blog and leaving Barry to completely take the reins and decide what’s next for the site. I’m swamped with some side projects and want to focus more time on my primary blog TechTraction — personal commentary on technology with a sprinkling of tech-tips and how-to articles, so it’s time to move on.

I want to thank all of the loyal readers for supporting Brothers-in-Blog with your site visits and comments. It’s been a great place to get a few things “off my chest.” And while I’m departing, Barry remains and will be deciding in the weeks ahead which direction to take the site. You can still find me at TechTraction.com but my focus is on technology, and you can also follow me on Twitter. Thanks again.

Exactly 1 year ago today we posted our first announcement regarding the start-up of Brothers In Blog. It has been a fun year for me learning about blogging and web design from my brother Bret. While I doubt we will ever seriously compete with other more established sites, we will continue to post what is on our mind and hopefully some of those subjects will prompt you to respond with your own comments.

If there is a topic that we have covered in the past that you would like to see an update on; or have suggestions for future articles; or just general comments about the website please let us know. I can say that we hope to have our banner updated relatively soon and maybe we will revisit the color scheme for a fresh look as we move into our second year.

Thanks again to all of you who continue to read our posts and especially to those who take the time to comment. Your interest in our site helps to keep us motivated.

Hello everyone and anyone that has stumbled upon Brothers in Blog! My brother and I have decided to join forces and take our lively IM chats and emails to the blog-o-sphere so we can rant, rave, and review for the World to see. We’re still working out the design details of our site and plan to “officially” launch on April 2, 2007.
