Microsoft Live Search Offering Cash Back
Another offer that sounds too good to be true? Not exactly, the new Microsoft Live Search cash initiative isn’t much different than a credit card the offers reward points for usage.
Nearly every single credit card has some type of “reward” program. Whether it be points for air travel, points towards gifts you can select from their catalog, or good old cash back just for using the card to make a purchase. Microsoft’s Live Search cash back program is basically the same. Sign up for an account with Microsoft, use Live Search to find products, and purchase an item tagged with the cash back icon. Rewards only for those items “tagged with a cash back icon?” That usually means that the price you’re going to pay isn’t the best available and I don’t want to wait around for the rewards when I do pay a premium. I’ll stick with my Capital One Visa for the rewards points that I just used to buy a roundtrip ticket to Hawaii. I don’t have to look for any specially marked items to get those points either.

I agree with Barry on this one. If I only get credits for those specially tagged items I would rather just stick with Google for my search and my current rewards program.
