Will Hawaii Claim Star Simpson as One of Their Own?
Back where I grew up, Hawaii, there was a popular label applied to any previous resident that “hit the big time” - Hawaii’s own. Normally, the label was only applied to the “famous” but I wonder if after today’s events it’ll get applied to the “infamous?”

Have Bomb — Will Travel
Star went to Boston’s Logan Airport today to meet her boyfriend flying in from Oakland. When she arrived, however, she was wearing on odd piece of art — sweatshirt decorated with a wired circuit board connected to a 9 volt battery. Also, she was apparently holding a lump of putty in her hand which undoubtedly added to the “bomb like” appearance.

On her M.I.T web page Star describes herself as an “inventor, artist, engineer, and student. I love to build things and I love crazy ideas.” And her love for crazy ideas was clearly demonstrated today as her poor judgment and lack of common sense earned her the privileged of coming face-to-face with a number of machine gun welding Massachusetts State Troopers.
Artistic Expression or College Prank?
Attaching a circuit board to a sweatshirt perhaps in the name of “art” seems harmless enough. Right? Well, what do you call it when it’s wired it to a 9 volt battery accented with a handful of putty and taken into a major airport? Artistic expression, college prank, or a public display of stupidity on a epic proportion? Whatever you call it I’m sure it’s not something that any State would lay claim too — not even Hawaii.

“Don’t Taze me bro” — You gotta love that one. That video had me rolling on the floor laughing. Talk about an “over the top performance.” Thing is, that guy didn’t even come close to getting shot. According to the news, Simpson came extremely close to getting shot dead. Had she not following instructions and resisted in the slightest, she would have been shot dead on the spot. That is one lucky college student and she probably has no idea.

From the photo it looks like she was hitting the bong before she went to the airport. “Hey man, who cut your hair” (Cheech and Chong classic line from their early works).

Well, it looks like Star will get her day in court. The judge refused to dismiss the charges against her and set a court date for May 23. You can read more about it at http://news.bostonherald.com/news/regional/general/view.bg?articleid=1081959
