Capitalize on the Apple iPhone Hype

Posted on June 25th, 2007 in Rave by Bret

The tech industry and general consumer electronic market is all abuzz with the upcoming release of the Apple iPhone. Without a doubt, Steve Jobs and Apple have done an amazing job at generating buzz, excitement, and above all — desire — for the new Apple iPhone. The phone has yet to be officially reviewed by the tech industry (not a great lose in my opinion) and yet nearly everyone has heard about the new phone and nearly everyone that has heard about it, wants it!

Lusting for the Apple iPhone?

I’ve always admired Apple’s sense of design and style when it came to basic computer products, and I certainly love my iPod; however, I’m NOT one of those Apple Fanboys and I prefer to reserve my “real” opinion of the Apple iPhone until I have at least seen it first hand.

Apple iPhone Hype Could Drive Traffic Way Up

Despite my cautious approach to the Apple iPhone, I believe the hype surrounding the Apple iPhone is a perfect opportunity to do a little traffic test. Since so many sites on the web are buzzing about the glorious release date (June 29, 2007) of the Apple iPhone, I thought that if we here at Brothers in Blog wrote a post about the Apple iPhone we might just get lucky and game the system a bit and unnecessarily attract some traffic just because we said Apple iPhone 15 times in a single post.

Will the Apple iPhone Succeed (at driving traffic to Brothers In Blog)?

I don’t plan to make a habit of gaming the system in this manner but the incredible amount of Apple iPhone lust and hype was far too tempting to ignore. I’ll keep an eye on our stats for this week and follow up with a post regarding our success or failure. With that in mind, if you found this site because you were searching for Apple iPhone information, please post a comment and let us know that you came here for Apple iPhone information but found you were unsuspecting victims of someone “gaming the system.

Barry’s 2-Cents:

I apologize bro for responding so late to your post. As you know, I was behind the windshield heading home to NC from your home in MA. No strip search at the airport for me!

My company is locked in with Verizon Wireless so no chance of me getting an AppleƂ iPhone to play with from Cingular. It’s unfortunate that the Apple iPhone is only being offered by one wireless provider, but I suppose that’s how the game is played. I am curious to find out what Cingular had to put up to get exclusive rights to the Apple iPhone. It will definitely be interesting to see what Cingular’s competitors put up to compete with the Apple iPhone. For those of us who can’t switch providers, we may be in for some sweet upgrade phone discounts.

Well looks like you succeed. I’m looking for info on the new i-phone and found your site.
Here’s my story. Last year I was thinking about getting an i-pod but then I read about the upcoming i-phone and decided to hold out for the big kahuna. I know it’s expensive but my Cingular contract is about up and I’m in the market for an upgrade. To bad the Cingular “deal” price is still around $600.00 Ouch!
The one thing that might hold me back is the browser service. My husband already pays for the web access on his phone, am I going to have to pay for a second service? Given the fact they we pay for 5 phones, 1400 minutes and the web service already, I don’t think I want to pay again for a redundant service. That could be the one thing that holds me back.

Yep, unless Cingular (now AT&T…oh that aggravates me) is changing their data plans, which I doubt, you’ll have to buy a separate data plan for each phone you want to have data access. You can buy data plans that have download limits but why bother? If you’re going to put data on a phone, you might as well make it unlimited.

Good luck with the Apple iPhone (that makes it 16 times in a single post).
